Sasha Laing
Sasha Laing is a Creative Director of Copy and the Co-Founder of Import News. She has led the development of the brand voice and marketing copy for Novi (from Facebook), created 5G messaging for Verizon, helped Uniqlo shape their US strategy and launch their global editorial content site, and crafted a strategic brand voice for Sonos. She works regularly with the design studio For Office Use Only, developing brand voice and website copy for clients including Madison Square Park Conservancy, Calico Wallpaper and Trahan Architects. As former Creative Director at independent advertising agency Fearless, she created strategic commercial work for MetLife, Citibank, Diageo, PepsiCo and Bennington College.
Sasha is a writer with an MFA from Columbia University. Her work has been published by American Chordata, West Branch and Everyday Genius and she has been awarded residencies by The Edward F. Albee Foundation, Ragdale, VCCA and Villa Lena (Italy). Sasha recently collaborated with the artist Josh Kline, writing the script and providing creative direction for a video that was part of his show "Unemployment." She is the creator of www.lovemoneydeath.com, and her project “Being” was exhibited as part of “Temporal Situations” at SITUATIONS gallery in New York in 2017.
